At the annual Astronomy Jamboree, enjoy live music, children’s crafts, and hot dogs over the fire, then view the stars, visible planets, and possibly even a shooting star or two. Beginner’s Foraging Workshop: Event details From dandelions to wood sorrel, Macon County abounds with edible wildflowers. Join a naturalist on a guided walk through the woods to search for and learn how to identify edible wildflowers, then stop by our kitchen to sample some fresh wildflower syrup. Partial Lunar Eclipse: Event details Night owls are invited to join us at Rock Springs Nature Center to view the partial lunar eclipse. We'll begin with a presentation on eclipses: what are they and what terminology is used? Then, we will head outside to view the eclipse.
