Rent a Room at Rock Springs Nature Center

Rock Springs Nature Center offers room rentals for meetings, parties, conferences, and group gatherings.

The Nature Center also includes exhibits, galleries, and staff available to provide educational programs. See the Educator’s Guide for program opportunities.

Greenberg Auditorium

The Greenberg Auditorium at Rock Springs Nature Center is a perfect room to host a conference or business meeting, have a birthday party, or hold a group gathering or wedding reception. 28’ X 50’ room, carpeted, ADA accessible. The maximum occupancy for this space is 100; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, seating with round tables accommodates up to 48 individuals.

Tables and chairs will be set up per the layout requested at the time of reservation. You may make adjustments as needed on the day of your event. Renter will be responsible for any decorations, tablecloths, dishes, and food being used. Please make sure to read all rules and regulations outlined in the Rental Request & Agreement form regarding the use of this room.

FOREST CLASSROOM

The Forest Classroom is a wonderful place for small gatherings with a “windowed wall” that looks out onto our EcoCenter. Consider it for your next business meeting, bridal or baby shower, or birthday party. 22’ X 26’ room, carpeted, ADA accessible. The maximum occupancy for this space is 25; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, seating with round tables accommodates up to 16 individuals.

Rodney Washburn Classroom

This small, sunny meeting room holds up to 20 people. Good for a business meeting or as a bride or groom’s dressing room for a Rock Spring’s rustic wedding. 20′ X 24′ room, carpeted, ADA accessible. The maximum occupancy for this space is 20; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, seating with round tables accommodates up to 16 individuals.

Indoor-Outdoor Classroom (Lower Level)

The new Indoor-Outdoor Classroom on the lower level of the Rock Springs Nature Center has several options for rentals. With four rooms plus the patio available, the combinations can range from a single room rental to rental of the entire space. The Monarch Room, Redbud Room, and Acorn Kitchen are separated by moveable walls that can be opened up to turn three rooms into one large room. The patio area -Hidden Hollow- can be rented alone or with other rooms in the lower level. It is attached to the Acorn Kitchen and Monarch Room through folding glass walls that can be opened to allow ease of movement from the indoor space to the outdoors.

Acorn Kitchen

This small, cozy caterer’s kitchen is perfect for setting out your dishes for a potluck or for your caterer to set up your meal. With folding glass walls that open up to the Hidden Hollow patio, your guests will find moving between the indoor and outdoor spaces a breeze. A refrigerator is available to store your cold food items, but the stovetop MAY NOT be used in the rental. Food must be brought in hot/warm and warming trays and chafing dishes are permitted. Monarch Room

Monarch Room

This room with a view opens up to the Hidden Hollow patio through folding glass walls, or can be rented alone to offer a bright and sunny space with an open feel even with the walls closed. The maximum occupancy for this space is 38; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, seating with round tables accommodates up to 24-32 individuals depending on how many round tables you wish to have.

Redbud Room

This spacious room is perfect for renting as a single room, or combining with the Monarch Room for a larger crowd through the moveable wall. Consider this space for your next meeting or gathering. The maximum occupancy for this space is 32; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, seating with round tables accommodates up to 24.

Cicada Room

This room is great for small groups and presentations or as a quiet room for larger parties. The maximum occupancy for this space is 19; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, seating with round tables accommodates up to 16.

Hidden Hollow Patio

This gorgeous space is conveniently located just off the main parking lot and boasts plenty of seating between the recycled plastic chairs, and the wooden slat benches that were repurposed from felled District trees and cut using our sawmill. The grill is available to rent by the hour, and the fireplace and fire pit are available with the purchase of wood bundles from the District. The dry creek bed has a waterplay feature as well as musical instruments to keep children (and children at heart) entertained. The maximum occupancy for this space is 100; however, this may result in limited seating and standing room. For optimal comfort, existing outdoor seating seats approximately 80 comfortably.
